Lower Back Pain Relief
The Woodlands & Spring, Texas

Whether it started with a lift, a long week at a desk, or nothing you can point to, we find what is driving your back pain and build a plan to get you moving again.

Back Pain Is Common. Living With It Doesn't Have to Be.

Low back pain is one of the most common reasons adults see a doctor. Most of the time it comes from the joints, discs, and muscles of the lower spine rather than a serious disease.

The lower back carries most of your body weight and handles every bend, twist, and lift. When a joint stops moving well, a disc is irritated, or the surrounding muscles tighten to protect the area, the result can be anything from a dull ache to pain that makes it hard to stand up straight.

Rest alone often isn't enough, and long stretches of inactivity can make back pain last longer. Most people do best with care that restores normal motion, calms irritated tissue, and strengthens the muscles that support the spine.

When to Get Medical Care Right Away

Most cases are not an emergency, but some symptoms need prompt medical attention. Contact your doctor right away, or call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room if symptoms are sudden or severe, if you have:

Seek urgent care for:

  • Numbness in the groin or "saddle" area, or new bladder or bowel problems
  • Back pain after a serious fall or car accident
  • Pain with fever, chills, or unexplained weight loss
  • Pain that is severe at night and does not change with position
  • A history of cancer with new back pain

Lower Back Pain Questions

When should I see a chiropractor for back pain?
If your back pain is not improving after a week or two, keeps coming back, or is affecting your sleep or work, it is a good time to get evaluated. Earlier care often means a shorter recovery.
Is it safe to be adjusted if my back is really sore?
Dr. Etemadi adapts every treatment to how you are feeling that day. When pain is high, he uses gentler techniques and may start with other therapies before adjusting.
Should I stay in bed until my back feels better?
Usually no. Short rest is fine during a bad flare-up, but staying active within your comfort level generally helps back pain resolve faster than bed rest.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on the cause and how long you have had pain. Many patients notice improvement within the first few visits. Dr. Etemadi will outline a plan and timeline after your exam.
Do you take insurance for back pain treatment?
Yes. We are in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and UnitedHealthcare for chiropractic care. Spinal decompression and Softwave TRT are self-pay services.
